A series I loved, Age of Empires, seemed to meet an untimely end with the demise of Ensemble Studios. Now Koraku is reporting that the series may live on... at least in spirit. Ex-AoE developers are working on a new title called Spartan.

From the link: "UPDATE - We've now heard that despite the cute appearance, this game has a lot in common with - surprise, surprise - Age of Empires, taking the core gameplay of Ensemble's old series and giving it a visual...well, if not update, then change in direction."

We can only hope...
