Apple updates the iMac and Mac ProApple has refreshed the iMac line. The new flagship iMac is quite impressive, all-in-one or not. It features an optional 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of 1333MHz DDR3 memory, and an ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB. The big jump there is obviously in the graphics department (in which Apple was woefully lacking). While they are not yet available, Apple also announced a 12 core Mac Pro. They will feature "a pair of either quad-core or six-core Intel Xeon processors, with up to a 12MB L3 cache and speeds ranging from 2.66 GHz to 3.33 GHz" and an optional Radeon 5870 1GB. The new Mac Pro should be available in August.
